What is the Routes System?
WFY24 Driving Routes provides real-time weather conditions along major road corridors worldwide. Each route is monitored with live weather data sampled at multiple points, giving drivers, logistics companies, and travelers accurate information about conditions ahead.
Routes are organized by continent and classified into three tiers based on traffic volume and strategic importance. Each route includes a severity index (1-10), temperature readings, wind speed, precipitation data, and an interactive weather map showing conditions along the entire corridor.
Severity Index
Each route has a real-time severity rating from 1 (excellent) to 10 (dangerous), calculated from temperature, wind, precipitation, and visibility data.
Live Weather Data
Temperature, wind speed, precipitation, and cloud cover are sampled at multiple points along every route and updated continuously.
Interactive Maps
Color-coded route maps show driving conditions at a glance. Green means good, yellow means rain, orange and red indicate heavy weather or snow.
Route Tiers
Tier 1 routes are critical corridors (highest traffic), Tier 2 are important connections, and Tier 3 are notable regional routes.
Route Categories
Routes are classified as freight corridors, tourism routes, domestic connections, or weather-critical passes like Alpine crossings.
