How does weather-aware routing work?
We pull live weather along the route from the DWD ICON model — temperature, precipitation, wind and visibility — and colour the segments so you can spot fog, snow and storms before you set off.
Can I save routes for later?
Each calculated route has its own URL — bookmark or share it. We don't yet have user accounts, so saved routes live in your browser history.
Which countries are supported?
Routing covers the entire planet via OpenStreetMap road data. Weather coverage is global; ICON-D2 (2 km) and ICON-EU (7 km) give the highest detail across Europe, ICON-Global (13 km) elsewhere.
Is the route data real-time?
Roads come from the latest OpenStreetMap planet (refreshed weekly). Weather is refreshed every 3 hours from the ICON model run, so a route you calculate now reflects conditions for the next 60 hours.
